2012 in review: Afternoon of Epicurean Delight, June 3

ImageYes, I’m finally getting around to posting about this wonderful event I donate jewelry to yearly for a silent auction. The Afternoon of Epicurean Delights (AED for short) is a benefit for CAPSLO, where wineries, breweries, and restaurants bring delicious things with which to stuff your gob. Meanwhile, you enjoy the enchanting surroundings of the Chapman House of Shell Beach and the lovely items that local artisans have donated to silent auction. Here’s a couple photos of the auction area, the items I donated and the views (photo below is experimenting with reflections on a window; romantic). My donation raised $105 dollars. In addition, Morgan and I bid on several items and won/bought a Meyer lemon tree and 6 bottles of delectable Cab Franc.

ImageNot long after this event, Mr. Chapman died, may his soul rest. It was very generous of him to host many community benefits on his property while he, his long-time partner and family were living there. He donated his property to the city of Pismo Beach, allowing for future special events to be held on his property.

AED 2013 is quickly approaching! June 2. Mark your calendars. Be there.
